Welcome! ChompChompDead is the open-sourced comedy community. Every week, our users select members for The Cast, who submit oddly entertaining articles to be rated. To be admitted into The Cast, you first need to cut your teeth by writing in the Chum Bucket.

How ChompChompDead Works

  1. Anyone can write for ChompChompDead. To get started, register as soon as humanly possible.
  2. General members of the public can submit articles to the Chum Bucket, while submitting articles to Fresh Kill is an honour saved for members of The Cast.
  3. Every week, a member of the public is admitted to The Cast based on the strength of their 4 highest rated Chum Bucket articles. The Cast Member whose 4 highest-ranked articles have the lowest score is demoted back to the Chum Bucket.
  4. ChompChompDead hosts a new round of voting every week, ending Wednesdays at 8 pm PST.
  5. Voting is based on the accumulation of Chomps. Anyone can Chomp an article in either the Chum Bucket or in Fresh Kill.
  6. That's basically it. There are no rules on our site. Just write stuff that people will like, and you'll turn out just fine. Can you smell glue? I totally smell glue.
